We’re immersed into the lives of these people who feel very real because they are so relatable. We follow the days leading up to, and the months after an extraordinary event. Nightingale Point is set on an estate and follows the people who live there. But when one extroardinary event takes place, their lives are changed forever. Nightingale Point is a normal neighbourhood whose residents live ordinary lives. To me the premise sounded a bit cheesy and I probably would never have picked it up had it not made the longlist for the Women’s Prize. Before going into Nightingale Point I really didn’t have any expectations for it.
